6" x .012 blade pictured. These saw blades are steel core. The strength
of steel gives you a thin kerf (thickness of cut) so you waste less material
with our thinnest blades. The blades will rust if left standing in water
for an extended period of time. If you choose to leave your blades in water
over night we recommend adding a rust inhibitor to your water. These blades
start with a die struck steel blank. The blanks, as many as 200 side by
side, are mounted and clamped on a perfectly true shaft. After mounting,
narrow slits are cut along the outer edge of the blade blanks, from 4mm
to 9mm deep depending on the size and style blade. After the blanks have
the notches cut into them, they are placed one at a time in a machine,
diamond powder is placed into all of the notches, the machine closes and
the notches are forced closed over the diamonds Resulting in what is called
a notched rim blade. With the diamond filling the notches in the blades,
if the blade seems to slow down in cutting, you can take an old corundum
grinding wheel 100 or 80 grit, slice into this a few times, and you once
again have a clean smooth cutting blade. With many other style blades,
it is pointless to try to sharpen the edge, because only the edge and side
had diamonds plated to them. We use these blades on our saws. Don't
let the price fool you!

Diamond 303 Professional - The MK-303 Professional series diamond
blades are of premium quality, with a very high diamond concentration.
The MK-303 (tm) Professional is today's producer of smooth cuts and are
used for cutting rare and valuable materials when waste must be held to
a minimum and speed of cut is essential. The Professional series diamond
blades last longer and will cut faster than ordinary notched rim or plated
diamond blades. They can be used at maximum arbor speeds. Experienced operator
skills are required for maximum performance. * Bushed blades will accept
either 1/2" or 5/8" arbors.
