Ok you may want to over look this one. The
only thing I do know is that I am mesmerized by polished stones and live
in Az, and would like to create some of this beauty but haven't a clue.
I'm thinking I need a book. Any recommendations?
I'd recommend "Introduction To Lapidary". It's an excellent book. It
covers just about every aspect of the lapidary hobby and trade. What can
be done, Types of equipment used, How to's and much more. We have it in
stock. |

don't have a credit card. Do you take personal checks?

I have a 10" trim/slab saw and have been using
oil for the coolant. I cut agate, petrified wood and jasper. I was told
that I could use water with calgon added. Will this work or should I stick
to oil?
We highly recommend the use of a good cutting oil. Especially when
cutting the materials you are working with. Water is user friendly but
not equipment friendly. |

My aunt wants to learn how to carve rocks,
not gemstones but plain rocks. Can you recommend a book or point me to
where I can get information on where to start. Thank you.
You might consider a book titled "Introduction To Lapidary". The type
of rock (hardness, etc.), the size of carving(s) will have a bearing on
the information required to do so. Regardless, this book should provide
valuable information. We carry this book and normally have it in stock. |
